Cahill injured

Everton's Tim Cahill is out for atleast six weeks due to an ankle injury he suffered in the first half of the match against Aston Villa. He collided with team-mate Lee Carsley while trying trying to snare a loose ball. He and Andy Johnson were behind Everton's awesome run so far this season. They were losing the early momentum with consecutive losses to Fulham and Aston Villa.

Cahill has scored 5 goals while scoring 53 points in fantasy premier league so far this season. He is sharing the top spot with Chelsea's Frank Lampard among goal scoring midfielders . He has been scoring goals in every alternative match except the last match in which he got injured.

With Andy Johnson not in the best of his form and some tough fixtures coming up, it will be difficult for Everton to continue their form. They will be certainly missing their star midfielder.

Marlon King - Out for the Season

Marlon King is out for the season with a knee injury. The injury he sustained aganist Arsenal last month was more serious than it was first thought. He went in for a routine cartilage operation, but the doctors discovered a bit of bone had come out from the femur.

Lot of Fantasy Premier Managers had selected him early in the season, as he was the top-scorer in Championship last season. His 21 goals in the league last season helped Watford for a promotion to the Premiership. But he was not that impressive from the start of this season, causing managers to drop him down.

Due to his absense, Ashley Young will be playing in much more up front giving him a chance to score more goals. He is the man in form for Watford, scoring 3 goals and 3 assists so far this season. Young sits second in the points table for midfilders with 61 points. He has also scored 12 points as bonus, clearly showing he is in form. He has scored a goal and scored 10 points last gameweek.

Another option is to select Bouzza who costs only 5.4 now. He is tipped to play 90 minutes in all the games, as King is out. He created an assist and scored 7 points last gameweek.

But this is not the right time to put these players, as they have 2 away fixtures to Chelsea and Portsmouth. They don't have a match in Gameweek 14 as well. So it would be better to put them in your squad after Gameweek 14.

Defender of Gameweek 11 - Gary Neville

Gary Neville scored 12 points in fantasy premier league this weekend to become the Defender of the Week. He gave an assist to Nemanja Vidic who scored the third goal for Manchester United aganist Portsmouth in Old Trafford. Although Vidic scored 12 points this gameweek, Neville was selected as the Defender of the Week for his man-of-the-match performance. He could have scored a goal as well if James hadn't made a good save to his right in the first half.

The Manchester United captain was returning from injury as he missed the Champions League tie aganist FC Copenhagen. He has been suffering the same injury from World Cup 2006, and he had missed some matches as well.

He is a constant attacking threat for Manchester United in the right wing. With Manchester United scoring tons of goals, his crosses into the penalty box could get you points. With Saha in front, being a good header of the ball will be able to connect his crosses.

Midfielder of GameWeek 11 - Claus Jensen

Claus Jensen is the midfielder of gameweek 11, scoring the vital goal for Fulham in the 1 - 0 win over Everton. He scored 11 points in the gameweek, including 3 points for the man-of-the-match. Fulham continues to be in 9th place, as Everton slipped to 7th place. Jensen has not been a regular starter at the start of the season, but his performance of scoring a goal and creating an assist in the 2-1 win over Charlton made him a regular in Chris Coleman's team.

Gameweek 11 has brought a lot of surprises to the fantasy premier league managers as low profile midfielders holding the first five postions in points table for the gameweek. With a cost of 6.3, Jensen could be a gamble as Fulham will be having 2 away games and they usually don't do well away from home.

Forward of GameWeek 11 - Dirk Kuyt

Dirk Kuyt scored 2 goals aganist Reading this gameweek, thus scoring 10 points in fantasy premier league. He loo
ks to be in good form scoring 3 goals in last two games and helping Liverpool to recover from their bad start to the campaign. Liverpool is currently at 8th position in the table with 17 points.

Liverpool will be facing Arsenal in Emirates Stadium next gameweek. It would be a tight game as Arsenal will be trying to recover from the loss to WestHam, and Liverpool trying to continue their winning streak.

After the Arsenal fixture, Liverpool will be having pretty easy fixtures for next 10 gameweeks. They don't have to face any of the top teams and it would be right time to put in some Liverp
ool players into your team, especially defenders.

Choosing a liverpool player into your team will be a difficult thing as Rafa Benitez continues his rotation policy. Kuyt will be a good option as he is starting for Liverpool regularly these days and his form would fetch you good points.

Manchester United vs Portsmouth

Manchester United will be hosting Portsmouth in Old Trafford on saturday. If United win, they will continue to be toppers of the Premiership, as chelsea will be facing Tottenham only on sunday evening. ManUtd have 100% record in premiership aganist Portsmouth at home. But they will be facing the strongest ever Portsmouth side over a few years, under the experienced gaffer Harry Redknapp. Man Utd had lost to FC Copenhagen in Champions League and so they will be determined to perform well at home.

Although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is out injured for some weeks, Man Utd will be boosted by the return of Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Louis Saha to the first team.

Players to Watch

Manchester United - Wayne Rooney

Rooney had silenced his critics with a hat-trick aganist Bolton last week. But he will be up aganist a good defence which had kept 5 consecutive clean sheets earlier in the season. But he is back into his prime form and he will be hoping to end his goal draught in Old Trafford.

Portsmouth - Kanu

The surprise leading goal-scorer of the season will be eager to add to his tally of 7 goals. But he will be facing a defence that has conceded only 2 goals in last 12 premiership games in the 'Theatre of the Dreams'.

Most of the Fantasy Premier League managers would have substituted or transferred the portsmouth defenders due to this fixture, as they are facing the team which have scored the most number of goals this season. Also the regular starters in Portsmouth defence, Primus and Glen Johnson are out injure as well. So it would be a very hard for Portsmouth to clinch a point from the fixture.

Bonus Points so far...

Midfielders have been dominating the bonus points so far this season. Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas is leading the table with 15 points, closely followed by Bolton's Ivan Campo and Newcastle's captain Scott Parker with 14 points apiece. Bonus points are awarded to the best three players in the match. So this table is a note of the form of the players in the recent games.

Cesc Fabregas

Fabregas have been in excellent form this season, claiming bonus points in 7 out of 9 games so far this season. He tops the bonus points table with 15 points with a game less than the others due to the postponded Wigan fixture of Arsenal. He also tops the assists list along with Saha of Manchester United. His failure to score goals is the reason why he is not in the top 5 of the midfielders table.

Due to his fine form, he can score points for your team without scoring a goal or giving an assist. Being the central figure in Arsenal's attacks, his automatic selection to the first team if he is fit and the fine form of Arsenal are the reasons why he is in large number of teams in Fantasy Premier League.

John Terry

John Terry is the best defender in English Premier League and the most expensive defender in Fantasy Premier League costing 8.3 million at present. But he is the most popular player among Fantasy Premier League managers with 51% of the managers having Terry in their team. It is because chelsea doesn't concede much and he is capable of scoring the goals too, usually with his head. He is the only chelsea defender who is sure to start if he is fit.

He is living upto his expectations of the Fantasy Premier League managers and sharing the top spot among defenders with Sol Campbell of Portsmouth, in the points table so far this season. He has scored a goal in the opening day and have 2 assists so far. He missed the game against local rivals Fulham due to back injury and played the full 90 minutes in all other games.

Since Petr Cech is out injured for atleast 6 months, the character of chelsea defence will be in doubt. But with the third-choice keeper Hilario in good form and saving a penalty last week, they were able to keep up the standards they have kept.

Now with chelsea visiting Tottenham this GameWeek, it would be a tough game for the chelsea defenders. Although Tottenham is no way near the form they had last season, they do have a good strike force and creative midfielders to demolish any defence in their day.

Back with a bang...

Wayne Rooney is back with a bang. He ended his goal-draught of 10 games with a hat-trick aganist Bolton Wanderers in the Reebok Stadium. Bolton were yet to concede a goal in Reebok Stadium in this season.

With three goals and the man of the match award, rooney scores an astonishing 17 points this GameWeek, thus becoming the first player to score a hat-trick in EPL this season. Also his 17 points is the highest scored by a striker in this season, followed by his own 16 points in GameWeek 1. It takes him to third in the list of strikers, even though he was unable to play in 3 matches due to suspension. He has got the highest ratio of 6.9 points-per-game in the strikers.

Forwards List

Points-per-game

With Manchester United firing in all cylinders, and costing 2.7 cheaper than Henry, Rooney would be a right man to be in the team.
